This briefing will reflect on the current state of the #FreeThePill movement; a coalition-driven campaign that aims to raise awareness about over-the-counter (OTC) daily birth control pills and expand equitable access to them in the United States.

In this session, we'll highlight recent progress, explore ongoing challenges, share opportunities to advance equitable access to OTC birth control in the US, and provide key insights into the OTC insurance coverage policy landscape and the collective strategies shaping the future of contraceptive access. Attendees will also hear from leaders involved in the Free the Pill coalition who will share their perspectives on the impact of OTC birth control pills for communities, insights on the changing OTC insurance coverage policy landscape, and their ideas for how equity-centered strategies can shape the future of contraceptive access.
