Acknowledging Puerto Rican women: The journey to free the pill from its past

In this webinar, co-sponsored by California Latinas for Reproductive Justice, we acknowledge the history of experimentation on Puerto Rican women resulting in the US Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the first birth control pill, highlight the persistent barriers that even after six decades make it harder for women of color to access the pill, and encourage participants to join us in a commitment to work in ways that center reproductive justice and human rights values.
